With 16 matches, 80 duels and 203 carcassonne games, week 2 of the WTCOC 2023 continues and these are some (of the) curiosities:

  • Of the 80 duels, 37 finished in two games and 43 went to the third games.
  • Of the 203 games, 5 ended in draw and 4 games were lost on time. Curiously, 3 of them occurred in the game between Mexico and Guatemala.
  • The guatemalan, super99gt, is the 2nd player who lost both games on time.
  • On Monday the 17th, the team with the highest average rating was Japan with 620, but on Monday the 24th the Chinese team took its place from 618 to 627. Japan dropped to second place after losing 14 points.
  • Latvian 700+ master Alexey_LV putted a new lowest record score with 34 points. He even only scored 12 points during the game and almost half the time he played without meeples. You see, it can happen to the best of us.
  • Spanish player migcrack won that game from Alexey_LV with a rockbottom 55-34, making 55 probably the lowest winning score ever in a finished game.
  • In that same game, there was only one farmer. That farmer gives the lowest points record with farms with only 3 points.
  • Someone_you_know loses his winning streak, after 17 consecutive wins. The colombian Salva3xz took away his unbeaten.
  • Navarre79 vs Moya88 was a duel between two world champions. Navarre79 won in two games but with a tie.
  • Brazil’s 5-0, of the week 1, was the first game ever where the opponent did not win a game. (10-0)
  • In the game between Japan and the Netherlands, all duels ended in two games. The winner was defending champion Japan who remains undefeated in this edition.
  • Did you know that the Belgian team likes to make it extra hard to themselves? For example, Nicedicer decided (or not) to play his duel at a restaurant where his girlfriend made a reservation for them at the same moment. And, JinaJina played his game while wild camping with his camper. Luckily, he won the game in 2 games because his laptop had 10 minutes of power left. Talking about time management!
  • Second duel starring Pechitoz who wins but in both a game ends in a draw. Will he make a streak of 3?
  • At the moment, 8 games have already ended in a tie and 8 games have ended on time.

Con 16 partidos, 80 duelos y 203 juegos de Carcassonne, continúa la semana 2 del WTCOC 2023 y estas son algunas (de las) curiosidades:

  • De los 80 duelos, 37 terminaron en dos juegos y 43 fueron al tercer juego.
  • De los 203 juegos, 5 terminaron en empate y 4 juegos se perdieron por tiempo. Curiosamente, 3 de ellos ocurrieron en el partido entre México y Guatemala.
  • El guatemalteco, super99gt, es el segundo jugador que pierde los dos juegos por tiempo.
  • El lunes 17, el equipo con la calificación promedio más alta fue Japón con 620, pero el lunes 24 el equipo chino tomó su lugar de 618 a 627. Japón cayó al segundo lugar después de perder 14 puntos.
  • El maestro letón de 700+, Alexey_LV, obtuvo una nueva puntuación récord más baja con 34 puntos. Incluso solo obtuvo 12 puntos durante el juego, y casi la mitad del tiempo jugó sin meeples. Ya ves, puede suceder a los mejores de nosotros.
  • El jugador español migcrack ganó ese juego de Alexey_LV con un mínimo de 55-34, lo que hace que 55 sea probablemente el puntaje ganador más bajo en un juego terminado.
  • En ese mismo juego, solo había un granjero. En esa granja solamente había 3 puntos, lo que da el récord de puntos más bajo.
  • Someone_you_know pierde su racha ganadora, luego de 17 victorias consecutivas. El colombiano Salva3xz le quitó su invicto.
  • Navarre79 vs Moya88 fue un duelo entre dos campeones del mundo. Navarre79 ganó en dos partidos pero con empate.
  • El 5-0 de Brasil, de la semana 1, fue el primer juego en el que el oponente no ganó un juego. (10-0)
  • En el juego entre Japón y Países Bajos, todos los duelos terminaron en dos juegos. El ganador fue el campeón vigente Japón que continúa invicto en esta edición.
  • ¿Sabías que al equipo belga le gusta ponérselo más difícil? Por ejemplo, Nicedicer decidió (o no) jugar su duelo en un restaurante donde su novia les hizo una reserva en el mismo momento. Y, JinaJina jugó su juego mientras acampaba salvajemente con su caravana. Afortunadamente, ganó el juego en 2 juegos porque a su computadora portátil le quedaban 10 minutos de energía. ¡Hablando de gestión del tiempo!
  • Segundo duelo protagonizado por Pechitoz que gana pero en ambos un encuentro acaba en empate. ¿Hará una racha de 3?
  • Al momento, ya 8 juegos terminaron en empate y 8 juegos terminaron por tiempo.
