Just one more week and the WTCOC 23 group stage ends.  Who are the lastest qualifiers for the playoffs? This and more in the curiosities of the week.

  • A total of 16 matches, 80 duels and 187 carcassonne games were played.
  • Of the 80 duels, 53 finished in two games and 27 went to the third game.
  • Of the 187 games, 5 ended in draws and 4 games were lost on time.
  • The teams that have already secured their qualification to the playoffs are: for group A, Romania and Germany; for group B, China and Spain; for group C, CPR; for group D, Portugal.
  • As predicted in the curiosities week 4, former World Champion Moya88 (Cze) indeed faced World Champion g3rappa (Rom) in the match between Czechia and Romania. Very curious that World Champions face each other when possible.
  • Another curiosity about this duel between Champions is the difference in time used by each: In their first game, Moya88 used 22:43 minutes of thinking time while g3rappa only used 2:11 minutes! The other two games had similar time differences.
  • Need it to be said, manarori: 6 out of 6!
  • You Qi (Mal) managed to win a tiebreaker against  a Taiwanese player, making it the first drawn  game lost by Taiwan.
  • Pechitoz (Col) played the most games so far. They played in every match and three games in every duel.
  • 25 games have now been lost on time, but three of the players still won their duel!
  • yanocchi41_TRAPS (Jpn) almost let go of the victory in his duel because he lost the second game on time and the third was tied. Fortunately for him, he was not the starting player for the third game.

Week 6 Records:

  • Both g3rappa (Rom) and ted the notty bear (UK) individually scored 13-point roads this week, at table #378798776 on turn 106 and at table #379403322 on turn 89, respectively.
  • Borberichi (Cat) and fanalexn (Ukr) jointly scored a 50-point city at table #379397447 on turn 127. This isn’t the WTCOC record, but it’s close!
  • HotlyHotly (Twn) and kaika87 (Mal) jointly scored a 33 point field at table #378713362 on turn 143.
  • Sportr (Prt) scored 43 monastery points at table #377792464 (3 complete and 2 incomplete).

Solo una semana más y la fase de grupos termina en el WTCOC 23. ¿Quiénes son los últimos clasificados para los playoffs? Esto y más en las curiosidades de la semana.

  • Se jugaron un total de 16 partidos, 80 duelos y 187 juegos de carcassonne.
  • De los 80 duelos, 53 terminaron en dos juegos y 27 fueron al tercer juego.
  • De los 187 juegos, 5 terminaron en empate y 4 juegos se perdieron por tiempo.
  • Los equipos que ya aseguraron su clasificación a los playoffs son: por el grupo A, Rumanía y Alemania; por el grupo B, China y España; para el grupo C, RCP; por el grupo D, Portugal.
  • Como se predijo en las “curiosidades de la semana 4”, Moya88 (Cze) se enfrentó con g3rappa (Rom) otro Campeón del Mundo en su duelo contra Rumania. Es muy curioso que un Campeón del Mundo se encuentre con otro Campeón del Mundo siempre que sea posible.
  • Otra curiosidad sobre este duelo entre campeones es la diferencia de tiempo usado por cada uno: en el primer juego Moya88 utilizó 22:43 minutos de tiempo de pensar mientras que g3rappa solamente utilizó 2:11 minutos. Los otros dos juegos tienen una diferencia similar.
  • Necesito decirlo, manarori: ¡6 de 6!
  • You Qi logró ganarle a un jugador taiwanés por un empate. Ese fue el primer empate que perdió Taiwán.
  • Pechitoz (Col) ha jugado la mayor cantidad de juegos hasta el momento. Ha estado en todas las rondas y cada uno de sus duelos ha necesitado un tercer juego.
  • Ya se perdieron 25 partidos ‘por tiempo’, ¡pero tres de los jugadores implicados ganaron su duelo!
  • yanocchi41_TRAPS (Jpn) casi deja escapar la victoria en su duelo porque perdió el segundo juego por tiempo y el tercero quedó empatado. Afortunadamente para él, no fue el jugador titular del tercer juego.

Récords de la semana 6:

  • Tanto g3rappa como ted the notty bear obtuvieron puntajes individuales de 13 puntos esta semana, en la mesa #378798776 en el turno 106 y en la mesa #379403322 en el turno 89, respectivamente.
  • Borberichi y fanalexn puntuaron conjuntamente una ciudad de 50 puntos en la mesa #379397447 en el turno 127. Este no es el récord del WTCOC, ¡pero casi!
  • HotlyHotly y kaika87 puntuaron conjuntamente un campo de 33 puntos en la mesa #378713362 en el turno 143.
  • Sportr obtuvo 43 puntos de monasterio en la mesa #377792464 (3 completos y 2 incompletos)
