Week 7

The group stage is over and we already have 4 qualified for the semifinals and 8 for the wild card. The curiosities for the group stage will be published soon.


A total of 16 matches, 77 duels and 188 carcassonne games were played. 

  • Of the 77 duels, 43 finished in two games and 34 went to the third game. 
  • Of the 188 games, 8 ended in draws and 1 game was lost on time. 
  • This was a record breaking week of close calls and blowouts: 7 matches ended 5-0, and 8 games ended in a draw!
  • Manarori (Mex) did it! He won his 7th duel…and he did it in style by beating a former World Champion. Congrats Manarori!
  • Biku-Beku (Lat) was so busy celebrating Latvia’s victory against the USA in the Ice Hockey World Championships (giving Latvia the bronze medal, their first IIHF championship medal in this championship ever)…that he completely forgot about Latvia’s Carcassonne match against Poland later that day! 

Week 7 Records:

  • gdlk (Chi) and justinethier (USA) jointly scored a 13 point road at table #381138552 on turn 90. (Although cowcowk (HK) and BBKosta (Rcp) scored 15 road points, and Hurtle_cz (Cze) scored 13 road points, those were for incomplete features at the end of their games, so they weren’t considered “longest road” records)
  • Eyeba11 and eltalivan jointly scored a 46 point city at table #381440975 on turn 103
  • A 33 point field scored by StevenChangTW at table #381452320 on turn 137
  • kissemo scored 42 monastery points at table #381658637 (3 complete and 2 incomplete monasteries)
